Announces vacancies for
BASSOON III/CONTRABASSOON
SECTION 1 st VIOLIN (4 positions)
SECTION 2 nd VIOLIN (3 positions)
SECTION VIOLA (2 positions)
SECTION CELLO (2 positions)
Employment for the 2006-2007 season to begin
as soon as the winning candidates' schedules permit.
The WVSO is a per-service orchestra offering approximately 110 total services per season.
Current per-service rate is $83 for section strings (number of services varies from 37 to 110, depending on chair); $91.30 for Bassoon III/Contrabassoon (27 services); and $107.90 for Assistant Concertmaster and Principal Timpani (110 services).
The 06-07 per service rates are currently under negotiation and will be effective July 1, 2006 .
If a vacant position is offered to a current member of the orchestra,
the resulting vacancy may be offered to a runner-up.
