Student Groups - The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra is committed to sharing exceptional classical music with students. The opportunity to attend a live concert in the Maier Foundation Performance Hall is unique, and we know students will treasure their experience.

Corporate groups - Host your next company event with the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. You have the chance to make a lasting impression by hosting an evening with the Symphony and having your employees or clients experience musical masterpieces.

Family and Friends - Professional organizations aren't the only groups to receive benefits from the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra! All you need is to gather your neighbors, friends, family members, or any other group of 10 or more to receive group benefits.

Priority access to tickets - Groups always have access to the best available seats. To ensure the best seating location, make your reservations early. Seats are held immediately upon placing order.

Free ticket - As the group organizer, you will receive a complimentary ticket per 20 tickets purchased for each performance. We know what it takes to plan an event, and this is our way of saying thank you for all the hard work!

Event planning - We can help plan your event and give personal assistance.

Handicap accessibility - The Clay Center is handicap accessible, including handicap parking and wheelchair seating, as well as elevators for every seating level. There are also headsets available upon request for the hearing impaired.

How to Book Your Group

  1. Review the Season Calendar for a complete schedule of events.
  2. Choose the concert(s) you and your group wish to attend.
  3. Review the Seating Chart in our Season Brochure to request seating locations.
  4. Submit a Group Request form
  5. Pay for your tickets - At least two weeks prior to the concert, pay for the tickets you will need.
  6. Receive your tickets via mail or at the Clay Center box office within two weeks of the concert.

FAQ

What qualifies as a group?

We consider a collection of 10 or more people to be a "group" and are eligible for group benefits.

Will my group sit together?

We will try our best to place your group together based upon your requested seating location and availability. Depending upon how large your group is, we cannot guarantee that your group will all sit together.

How can I pay for my group?

At least two weeks prior to the concert you wish to attend, you can pay with cash, check, or credit card.

Can I change my order?

You may change your order as long as you change it before the payment date.

What if someone in my group cannot come at the last minute?

Unfortunately, the seat has been reserved and we cannot offer a refund. However, the ticket is transferable to other concerts.

How early can I place an order?

You may place a group order as soon as the concerts are announced at the beginning of the season.

How do I receive my tickets?

You will receive your tickets by mail, or you can visit the Clay Center box office within two weeks of the concert if you prefer.

What time does Will Call open for ticket pick up?

The Clay Center box office is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. You may pick up your tickets during any of these times, or within a few hours of the concert itself. The box office will be open until 30 minutes after the start of the show.

Where can I park?

Network Parking operates a number of lots surrounding the Clay Center on concert evenings. Look for the red-shirted attendants and the white signs with the Clay Center logo. Ample parking is available in these lots for a cost of $3 per car. You can even reserve your parking space on line at www.claycenterparking.com.

Coming to Your First Concert?


1. Is there a dress code for West Virginia Symphony concerts?

No, no, no...wear clothes in which you feel comfortable.  There is never a dress code for any performance of the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
