The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra is assisted in performing major choral-orchestral works by the West Virginia Symphony Chorus, a volunteer group of singers chosen from among the best in the state. The state’s premier symphonic chorus is a weekly gathering of voices who put everything aside to master great choral works and, at the highest level of artistry, perform those masterpieces for thousands of listeners. Members represent a broad spectrum of ages and professions. All members, however, share a deep respect for the works they rehearse and perform, as well as the parent organization, the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra. We are looking for qualified singers who can accurately prepare music independently, sing with good intonation and blend with other voices, read music well, and commit to regular rehearsals and concerts during our season. If you are interested in joining the Chorus, stay tuned for information about fall auditions. |
