Symphony Sunday 2016

CHARLESTON, W.VA. (05/10/16) –  The West Virginia Symphony Orchestra returns with Charleston’s favorite Symphony event of the year, 2016 Symphony Sunday “HEROES.” For its 34rd year, this free outdoor festival features some of the community’s most beloved music, food, games and artisans ending with a WV Symphony concert and fireworks finale looking over the West Virginia State Capitol from the University of Charleston lawn.

The 2016 Symphony Sunday weekend begins with Pinnacle Rooftop Party on Friday, June 3rd at the Columbia Gas/NiSource Building themed “A Night in Gotham” at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $50 per person. Add $25 for gifts and to join the exclusive VIP Happy Hour before the event.

Presented by the WVSO’s fundraising organization, the West Virginia Symphony League, Symphony Sunday 2016 will be held at the University of Charleston on Sunday, June 5thbeginning at 1 pm with entertainment, arts, and crafts throughout the evening. This year’s theme is “HEROES” as we celebrate our local heroes in the community and Maestro Cooper’s 15-year anniversary with the WVSO. Gain exclusive access to “American Heroes” reception from 6 – 10 pm on Symphony Sunday to watch the performance from the view up top on the UC Rotunda and Patio of Riggleman Hall with heavy hor d’oeuvres and drinks for $50.
